
During the second day of the $50,000 Player’s Championship 2011 World Series of Poker is nearing the end and the 128 original players who joined the said tournament are now just down to 74. And these players are gunning for the first prize which is $1,720,328 and of course the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
Ben Lamb, the recent gold bracelet winner, is the chip leader with an amazing 704,000. He got his first bracelet by winning the $10,000 six-handed no-limit hold’em event recently, and with this record he could have a very impressive summer. One player who is very close by is Gus Hansen with 688,700.
David Bach who has 377,800 is another notable chip. He is also known as a former champion. Other names to watch out for are Phil Hellmuth with 271,200 and two former final tablists Erick Lindgren with 341,000 and David Singer with 216,700.
